PLACES OF USE

•On terrace roofs, inclined roofs of structures,

•On curtain walls, it is used for providing basement tanking, water tightness, and moisture proofing.

•Poseidon PO5000 is designated for outstanding performance in many climatic zones thanks to its outstanding flexibility in cold weathers and high temperature resistance in hot weathers. It is used as the bottom and middle layer membrane in waterproofing. 

•Poseidon PO5000 is used on wet areas such as bathroom-kitchen and the foundations having pressure or non-pressure underground or surface waters.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface where BTM Waterproofing Membrane Poseidon PO5000 is to be applied should be cleaned from dust, dirt, rust, and oil; loose pieces should be scraped off. Depending on the surface where BTM Waterproofing Membrane  Poseidon PO5000 is to be applied, when necessary, BTS 100 or BTR 100 primer should be applied to the surface; it should be waited to get completely dry.

APPLICATION

If concrete, the surface where BTM Waterproofing Membrane Poseidon PO5000 is to be applied should be with floated and trowelled gradient finish, and be clean and dry. Before BTM Waterproofing Membrane Poseidon PO5000 application, bitumen solution primer BTS 100 (TS103) or bitumen emulsion primer BTR 100 (TS113) should be applied to the surface and should be waited to get completely dry.

Coating application is started by the lowermost part of the roof (lowermost layer) and the application is made vertical to the gradient. Waterproofing membrane Poseidon PO5000 is stuck to the surface by torch. Crossing should absolutely be made between the rows. Lapping margin should be left; 15 cm for 1 meter short edge lapping, 10 cm for long edge lapping. Joints should be well stuck. Between the layers, crossing should be made as 50 cm for short edge, 5 m for long edge.

STORAGE CONDITION AND SHELFLIFE

The membrane rolls should be stored vertically under a roof, protected from direct sunlight. If the rolls have to be stored outdoors for a long period of time, they must be covered with a protective layer in order to protect them from the sunlight. The membrane rolls or pallets should not be stacked on each other.
